The role:
We’re looking for a Credit Team Leader to join our collaborative team in North Strathfield on a full‑time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role oversees the UCC ANZ group credit control function, ensuring compliance, managing credit and financial risk, leading collections and reconciliations, maintaining day‑to‑day oversight of credit performance, and delivering a high standard of customer service. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in the detail of credit operations while supporting a capable, independent team. This role suits someone who brings structure, supports without overshadowing, and leads by example, providing overarching guidance to a team that operates with a high level of autonomy.
What you’ll be responsible for:

Maintaining accurate customer ledgers through timely allocation of payments and credits, weekly aged‑debt reviews, and proactive escalation to minimise credit risk.

Strengthen credit governance by reviewing limits and payment terms, refreshing credit policies, and applying appropriate controls

Conducting review of pricing structures and ensure that pricing is appropriately reflected in the ERP per business requirements

Monitoring and assigning tasks within the shared inbox and credit queues

Providing daily support, escalations, and check-ins with the credit team across brands

Leading short team huddles every few days, focused one to one’s with team members and overseeing team performance and completion of daily collections

Driving process improvements and efficiency gains in tandem with BAU delivery

Partnering with the Financial Controller on reporting, internal controls, and escalation of risk.
What you’ll bring:

At least 5 years’ experience in credit/accounts receivable, including 3+ years in a credit management or leadership capacity

Previous experience in FMCG or similarly fast paced environment

Experience managing an end-to-end ledger independently

A pragmatic, hands-on leadership style - an ability to guide in a collaborative team environment with demonstrated capability in leading and managing a team

Strong sense of ownership and accountability - you understand the importance of business unit distinction in shared services

Experience balancing operational delivery with process improvement initiatives

Experience in partnering with operational teams

Exposure to MYOB EXO accounting software and JDE Enterprise 1 (beneficial)
