NDIS Team Leader

Position Summary
The NDIS Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of disability support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services to NDIS participants. The Team Leader provides leadership, guidance, mentoring, and operational support while ensuring compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, company policies, and participant support plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and Supervision
- Lead, mentor, and support disability support workers in their daily duties.
- Conduct regular staff meetings, supervision sessions, and performance reviews.
- Promote a positive, professional, and collaborative team culture.
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development of new staff members.
- Provide guidance and support during challenging situations and incidents.
Participant Support and Service Delivery
- Ensure participants receive high-quality, person-centred support in line with their goals and NDIS plans.
- Monitor service delivery and ensure support plans are implemented effectively.
- Build positive relationships with participants, families, guardians, and stakeholders.
- Respond to participant concerns and assist with resolving issues promptly.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, safeguarding requirements, and organizational policies.
- Monitor documentation, progress notes, incident reports, and medication records for accuracy and completeness.
- Support audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure staff follow workplace health and safety requirements.
Rostering and Workforce Coordination
- Assist with rostering and staff allocation to ensure adequate coverage.
- Coordinate staffing requirements and arrange replacements for unplanned absences.
- Monitor workforce performance and attendance.
- Support workforce planning and recruitment activities when required.
Incident Management and Risk Management
- Manage and report incidents in accordance with NDIS and organizational requirements.
- Identify risks and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Escalate significant concerns to management promptly.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with participants, families, support coordinators, allied health professionals, and external service providers.
- Represent the organization professionally at meetings and participant reviews.
- Support positive communication between all stakeholders.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience working within the disability support sector.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and person-centred support practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Working rights in Australia.
Desirable Requirements
- Diploma in Community Services, Disability, or Leadership and Management.
- Experience with SIL (Supported Independent Living) services.
- Medication administration competency.
- Experience managing complex participant behaviours and high-support needs.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position.
- May require participation in an on-call roster.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
