Major Industries Restoration is a multi-state restoration company managing water, fire, mould and storm damage claims on behalf of insurers, insurance builders and brokers across NSW, QLD and ACT. Due to continued growth in our Queensland operations, we are seeking an experienced Insurance Loss Adjuster to join our Brisbane team.
About the role
Based out of our Yeerongpilly office with travel to sites across QLD, you will assess domestic and commercial insurance claims, determine cause and extent of damage, and prepare detailed scopes of work and cost estimates to support insurer decision-making. You will report to the QLD Operations Manager and work closely with restoration technicians, builders and external contractors.
Key duties
- Inspect and assess damage to insured property following fire, flood, storm or mould events
- Determine cause and extent of loss, and estimate repair and restoration costs
- Prepare detailed written reports, photographic documentation and scope-of-works recommendations
- Liaise with claimants, witnesses and insurers to gather information relevant to claim evaluation
- Act to minimise claim costs while ensuring accurate and fair assessment
- Ensure all assessments comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory guidelines
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment
About you
- Minimum 2 years' experience in insurance restoration, loss assessing or building/contents restoration
- IICRC accreditation (minimum WRT)
- Current Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)
- Current, valid driver's licence (valid in QLD)
- Strong report-writing and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure
- Willingness to obtain a Police Check and/or Working with Children Check
