Roxby Downs, SA
Part-time | 16–24 hours per week
Potential for additional hours in a blended Administration/Educator role
Roxby Downs Children’s Centre is seeking an organised, approachable and reliable Office Administrator to join our team.
This is a varied role within a busy early childhood education and care environment, supporting our Director, leadership team, educators, children and families with the day-to-day administration of the Centre.
About the Role
We are currently looking to fill approximately 16–24 hours per week (2–3 days) within our administration team.
For an applicant who also holds an approved Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, there may be an opportunity to increase hours through a blended Administration/Educator position, working approximately 2.5 days in administration and 2.5 days supporting our education and care teams.
We are open to discussing the structure of the position with the right applicant.
Key Responsibilities
The administration component of the role may include:
- Supporting enrolments, bookings and family enquiries
- Maintaining children's enrolment and attendance records
- Supporting Child Care Subsidy (CCS) administration
- Using OWNA and other Centre administration systems
- Managing phone, email and reception enquiries
- Maintaining waitlists and supporting the onboarding of new families
- Assisting with rostering and general staffing administration
- Maintaining records, documentation and compliance requirements
- Supporting health and medical documentation for children
- Liaising professionally with families, educators and external stakeholders
- Assisting with accounts and general office administration
- Supporting Centre events, communications and day-to-day operations
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using computers and learning new systems
- Friendly, professional and approachable
- Able to communicate effectively with families and staff
- Comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day
- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Respectful of confidentiality and sensitive information
- Experienced in administration, customer service or a similar role
Experience within early childhood education and care, OSHC, education or another regulated environment would be highly regarded but is not essential for the administration-only position.
Applicants interested in the blended Administration/Educator position will need to hold, or be working towards, a recognised Early Childhood Education and Care qualification and meet the relevant requirements to work directly with children.
Employment Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to hold or obtain the relevant screening, child safety and first aid requirements applicable to their position, including a current South Australian Working with Children Check.
Hours & Remuneration
The administration position is expected to be approximately 16–24 hours per week across 2–3 days.
Additional hours may be available for a suitably qualified applicant interested in combining administration duties with work as an educator.
Remuneration will be discussed with applicants and determined according to the position, qualifications, experience and applicable industrial instrument.
We encourage applicants to include their preferred number of hours, availability and expected hourly rate in their application.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience, availability, preferred weekly hours and why you would be a good fit for Roxby Downs Children’s Centre.
