We are seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join a newly established community-based team providing mental health and wellbeing support across the Mitchell and Murrindindi Shires in response to the impacts of the 2026 Longwood Bushfire.
This role is funded through the Victorian Government’s bushfire recovery response and plays a vital part in helping individuals, families and communities access timely, compassionate and locally based mental health care.
Working within the Mitchell and Murrindindi Mental Health and Wellbeing Local, you will provide assessment, therapeutic intervention, care coordination and service navigation support, helping people connect with the services and resources they need to support their recovery and wellbeing.
The role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while contributing to Victoria's reformed mental health system, where services are free, voluntary and easily accessible with no referral required.
The successful applicant will have:

Current AHPRA Registration for Mental Health Nurses, Psychologists and Occupational Therapists
OR
-
Current registration with AASW for Social Workers

Post graduate experience working in a mental health or AOD setting (minimum 6 months)

Demonstrated time management abilities, excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrate a friendly, proactive approach and ability to work with competing demands and balance priorities with efficiency and professionalism.

Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.

Experience and training delivering evidence-based therapy.

Good working knowledge of MS Office Suite

Experience in using a Client Information Management Systems (CiMs) and Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM).
