Mendooran Central School is an innovative, small, rural school serving a diverse community with current enrolments of 89 students, of whom 36% identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island, spanning Kindergarten to Year 12. The school draws its students from the immediate township and surrounding farming areas. The English teacher will have sole charge of the English faculty and play a key role in delivering high-quality English education, focusing on student engagement, achievement, and growth. The successful candidate will contribute to the vibrant school community, uphold the school’s values, and collaborate with staff, students, and families to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
- Approval to teach English 7-12 and either qualifications and/or willingness to teach HSIE.
Demonstrated ability to differentiate the curriculum to meet the individual learning needs of students and focus on student growth.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents in a complex rural setting.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
