About The Service
KU Union is located on the edge of Sydney University and within walking distance from Redfern Station .
The service offers a welcoming and nurturing space where each child is immersed in a rich tapestry of educationally interactive experiences – including art, craft, literacy, numeracy, music, dance, song, games, stories & cooking.
The team are proud to have a special interest in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture which is incorporated into their program.
About The Role
We have an opportunity for an educator with a completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification to join the team.
On offer are 2 x part-time roles;
- Permanent Part Time - working Monday to Wednesday (8 hours per day) on a rotating roster.
- Parental Leave Contract until August 2027 - working every Friday
*Part-time educators also have access to joining our casual pool if desired.
About The Criteria
Along with relevant working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) and a sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), you will need:
- An ACCEQA recognised Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- A current and Valid NSW Working with Children Check
- A National Child Safety Training Certificate
A completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025) and an understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children
