Are you an experienced early childhood leader who is passionate about supporting children, families, and educators to thrive? Mini Masterminds Box Hill (84 place) is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Assistant Centre Director (2IC) to join our leadership team in a full-time capacity.
This is a unique opportunity for a strong educator with leadership experience who enjoys being on the floor, mentoring teams, and leading by example. The role will primarily be based within our 3–4-year-old room, while also supporting the Centre Director with the day-to-day operations of the service.
About the Role
As the Assistant Centre Director (2IC), you will play a key role in supporting the Centre Director to ensure the smooth running of the service while maintaining exceptional educational outcomes for children.
This is a hands-on leadership position, with the majority of your time spent working directly with children, educators, and families in our Preschool (3–4 years) room.
Key Responsibilities-
Support the Centre Director with the daily management of the service.

Lead, mentor, and inspire educators through positive role modelling.

Build strong relationships with children, families, and the local community.

Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant regulations.

Assist with staff onboarding, training, and professional development.

Support occupancy growth and family engagement initiatives.

Contribute to programming, planning, and educational leadership within the Preschool room.

Step into the Centre Director role when required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential Requirements-
Previous leadership experience within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting (Room Leader, Educational Leader, 2IC, Assistant Director, or similar).

Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.

Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS, and Child Safe Standards.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Current Working With Children Check.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.

A passion for mentoring and developing educators.
