The Team & Role
The Education Stream Leader – Critical Care is responsible for developing and implementing key strategies to enhance the clinical capability of the critical care workforce to deliver great patient outcomes. The position is of clinical and educational leadership and collaborates with the Director, Education and Training, and key internal and external stakeholders, to optimise clinical standards, mitigate clinical risk, support professional standards, and promote and enhance education and research within the clinical program area.
In collaboration and consultation with the Education Leadership team, the Education Stream Leader – Critical Care leads the Critical Care Clinical Educator team (inclusive of ICU, ED, cardiac and perioperative services) to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate learning programs based on local and organisational strategic objectives. The Education Stream Leader is accountable for the support, management and performance of the clinical education staff within the Critical Care education stream.

Skills & Experience Required
- Registered nurse with current, condition-free AHPRA registration.
- Postgraduate qualification in Advanced Clinical Nursing - Intensive Care or Critical Care nursing.
- Postgraduate qualification in education, management or research
- Extensive clinical experience, at a senior level working with a diverse workforce and interprofessional team
- Experience and expertise within practice development / education roles
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate staff to contribute to and foster a positive learning culture.
