About the Role
The Peer Academic Programs Administration Assistant provides essential administrative and coordination support for UOW’s peer-led academic programs, including the Steps to Success and Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) programs. This role plays a key part in delivering a high-quality student support experience by coordinating day-to-day operations, maintaining program records, supporting peer staff, and ensuring programs run efficiently and compliantly.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics for peer academic programs, including timetabling, room bookings, resource preparation and scheduling support.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and administration of Peer Academic Program Peers and PASS Leaders.
- Maintain accurate records, databases and reporting information, including attendance and feedback data.
Provide administrative support for meetings, events, communications and stakeholder enquiries, while contributing to continuous program improvement.

Based within the Dean of Students portfolio, the Peer Academic Programs team is committed to enhancing student success through peer-led learning initiatives. The team works collaboratively with students, academic staff and professional services colleagues to deliver engaging academic support programs that help students thrive throughout their university journey.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience managing administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Strong organisational, time management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital coordination tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Relevant experience and/or a combination of education and training appropriate to the role; experience in a university or academic support environment will be highly regarded.

Role Details
- Employment type: Continuing, part-time appointment (21 hours per week)
- Classification: Level 3/4 | $67,214 – $85,682 pro rata + 17% superannuation
- Location: UOW Wollongong Campus
- Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Working with Children Check required
