Kickstart your career. Earn while you learn.
A unique paid cadet program for Year 12 leavers, with no university required. Build a future in audit and professional services from day one. February 2027 start, based in Albury NSW, over a 12-month program.
You’ve finished Year 12 and you’re exploring what comes next. Maybe university doesn’t feel right, not yet, or not at all. Maybe you want to earn money, gain real experience and build something tangible before committing to years of study and debt. This opportunity is built for you if you are unsure about uni or thinking of a gap year with real purpose and a pay cheque, strong in English, Business, Accounting or Maths and ready to put that to work, curious whether accounting is for you, or keen to become a Chartered Accountant without moving away or taking on student debt.
Your role, your contribution!
In this 12-month paid program, you will work across real client engagements and build the skills that matter in external audit. You will contribute by:
- Supporting the delivery of financial statement audits across a diverse client portfolio
- Working alongside experienced auditors on risk and assurance engagements
- Helping clients improve their business processes and financial reporting
- Engaging with a range of clients, from medium-sized private groups to large listed and international corporations
Collaborating with the team to deliver clear advice and practical solutions
-
How it works
Four days work, one day study. You will spend four days a week at Findex in Albury, doing hands-on audit work mentored by experienced professionals and learning the fundamentals of assurance and financial reporting in a real-world setting. One day a week is dedicated to structured study through CA ANZ, working towards your accounting qualification without the full-time university commitment or the fees. Throughout the program you will be supported by dedicated mentors, a buddy and the broader Findex team, so you are never learning alone.
