Your role within the team
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Key Account Executive to play a pivotal role in supporting the growth and success of our Community Pharmacy channel. Working closely with Key Account Managers, National Account Managers, and the Field Team, you will help drive customer engagement, execute strategic account initiatives, and coordinate key commercial activities across the business. This dynamic role offers exposure to customer management, promotional planning, sales analysis, and business reporting, while providing ownership of critical planning tools and processes that support internal cross team collaboration and channel performance. You will act as a key link between customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of customer and business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the management of key customer accounts through promotional planning and commercial review, execution, administration, and day-to-day account coordination.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer buying teams, taking ownership of customer engagement activities where assigned.
- Assist with and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), range reviews, and customer planning processes as required.
- Coordinate new product launches, including SKU setup, new line forms, parcel deal forms, forecasting, pipeline management, and ranging submissions.
- Manage product lifecycle activities, including phased-out and deleted SKU clearance programs, clearance deals, credit approvals, and replacement stock planning.
- Prepare and submit promotional and trade deal proposals to wholesale customers, ensuring timely execution and compliance with customer requirements.
- Analyse stock-on-hand, inventory, and out-of-stock reports to identify risks, provide insights, and support annual range reviews and stock optimisation initiatives.
- Maintain wholesale pricing, trade terms, promotional trackers, range data, master price files, accruals, risk registers, and other key account management systems and reporting tools.
- Monitor and manage short-dated, expired, damaged, short-delivered, and pricing discrepancy claims, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and customer service levels are maintained.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Commercial team, including CRM and field support, weekly reporting, purchase order processing, invoice receipting, and maintaining account management tools and dashboards.

- Previous experience in sales, account management, or customer-facing commercial roles, ideally within pharmacy, healthcare, FMCG, or grocery channels.
- Proven capability in promotion planning and execution, including reviewing promotional performance and delivering commercial outcomes.
- Experience in sales planning, forecasting, and analysing sales performance to support business growth and customer objectives.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with the ability to interpret data, identify opportunities, and communicate the commercial impact of decisions.
- Demonstrated understanding of financial targets, budgeting processes, and cost management principles.
- Experience supporting customer negotiations and influencing outcomes while maintaining strong customer relationships and brand integrity.
- Ability to build effective cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with internal stakeholders across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using sales and customer data to generate insights and support decision-making; exposure to National or Key Account environments is highly regarded.
- Experience with category and market data tools, including IQVIA, shopper, and wholesale data sources, with a solid understanding of category analysis techniques. Pharmacy or grocery channel experience is preferred.
