Belgravia Leisure is a leader in leisure, health and fitness management across Australia and New Zealand. We partner with local government and communities to deliver high-quality aquatic, fitness, sport and recreation programs that enrich lives and connect people.
We are now on the hunt for an outstanding people leader to coach, inspire and manage the team at Casterton Pool this summer season. This is a casual role (November - April), leading the day-to-day operations of a much-loved community facility.
The Role
As Centre Manager, you’ll take ownership of the pool’s operational, financial and program deliverables, ensuring a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all patrons. You’ll lead a passionate team, drive performance, and maintain strong relationships with the local Council and community stakeholders.
This role is hands-on, varied and rewarding - perfect for someone who thrives on leading people, achieving results and creating positive community outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors through effective policies, processes and compliance
Lead, coach and develop the team to achieve KPIs and deliver excellent customer service
Drive a high-performance, community-focused culture with visible, supportive leadership
Deliver against operational and financial targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with local Council
Recruit and develop passionate staff, supporting clear career progression pathways
Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements
About You
You are an up-and-coming leader with energy, vision and a passion for leisure. You understand how to build engaged teams, deliver results, and create exceptional customer experiences. With a balance of operational know-how and people leadership, you’ll set the standard for excellence this season.
Skills & Qualifications
Previous leadership or management experience in a leisure/aquatic facility (or similar)
Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to achieve win–win outcomes
Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation
Experience in operational, financial and people planning
Current CPR and First Aid (Level 2) certificates
National Police Check & Working with Vulnerable People Check
Legal working rights in Australia
Pool Operations Certificate – highly regarded (not essential)
Pool Lifeguard Certificate – or ability to complete course
