About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Engineer to join our team based in Seven Hills and working on site within our Technical Services Department.
The primary responsibility of the Workshop Engineer is pre-delivery inspections, repairs, and calibrations of Medical Devices, primarily Infusion Pumps supplied to customers. As part of the role, you will assist the Workshop Team to provide timely technical and customer support for the range of Fresenius Kabi Medical Devices. The role will be approximately 80% workshop-based, with 20% in-field support and travel as required by the business.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Technical Services: The role will involve repair, test and calibration of Fresenius Kabi medical devices within the workshop. Prioritising workshop duties in collaboration with Technical Services Department and Account Managers. This role also provides the opportunity to further develop your Technical skill set to enhance your troubleshooting capabilities.
- Customer Service and Support: You will also work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to provide service to our customers in relation to technical components, fault-finding procedures and spare part management. This includes, ensuring demo/loan equipment in the workshop are within calibration and in service.
- Administration: A key component of the role, will be keeping accurate documentation to ensure compliance with standard processes and formats. This will be achieved by completing service reports and responding to customer queries in a timely manner, to ensure a superior customer experience.
- Calibration Verification and Quality Assurance: You will be the safeguard for our patients by managing calibration verification, thorough documentation records, and audit compliance to provide quality assurance and peace of mind for our customers.
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience within Biomedical or the Medical Technology Industry. Experience as a service technician would also be deemed suitable
- Working knowledge of related Australian Standards: ISO 13485: 2016, AS/NZS 3551: 2012, IEC60601-2-24: 2012
- Technical fault-finding experience with Infusion or Transfusion Technology, although experience within broader medical devices will be considered
- A proactive, responsible, and cooperative team player with good time management skills
- High attention to detail and able to work under pressure
- Willingness and ability to travel within Australia for approximately 20% of working time to support customer requirements, training activities and business projects
NB: The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check and provide evidence of required vaccinations.
