We are looking for caring, reliable and passionate Disability Support Workers to join our team across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support NDIS participants to live independently, achieve their goals and participate meaningfully in their community.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing person-centred support based on individual needs and preferences
- Assisting participants with daily living and personal care activities
- Supporting community access and social participation
- Assisting with meal preparation, household tasks and shopping
- Supporting participants to attend appointments and activities
- Encouraging independence and supporting individual goals
- Building positive and respectful relationships with participants
- Following individual support plans and workplace procedures
- Completing required documentation and shift notes
- Maintaining participant dignity, privacy, choice and independence
- Working collaboratively with participants, families and other support professionals
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Compassionate, patient and genuinely passionate about supporting others
- Reliable, punctual and responsible
- Respectful of individual choices, cultures and lifestyles
- Confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Good communicators with a positive attitude
- Flexible and willing to work across different shifts
- Committed to providing high-quality, person-centred support
Previous disability or aged care experience is highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR certification
- Relevant disability support qualification, such as Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
- Australian working rights
- Reliable transport and a current driver's licence
- Ability to travel to participant locations as required
