About the role
KORB SA Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Tradeworker to join our South Australian operations. This is a permanent full-time, site-based position working across civil construction, infrastructure and major commercial construction projects throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia. The role involves specialist civil construction and infrastructure installation work, including concrete works, core drilling, anchoring, set-out and installation of fabricated infrastructure products. Our projects include work within road, rail, airport, government, commercial construction and major infrastructure environments.
Key responsibilities
- Core drilling into concrete and reinforced concrete.
- Concrete drilling, cutting, grinding and surface preparation.
- Construction and installation of basic formwork for concrete works.
- Concrete placement, patching and reinstatement associated with installation works.
- Installation of chemical and mechanical anchoring systems.
- Drilling, fixing and anchoring products into concrete, asphalt and other substrates.
- Setting out works in accordance with construction drawings, specifications and site requirements.
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, specifications and installation details.
- Installation of fabricated civil products including bollards, wheel stops, bicycle racks and bicycle parking systems, tactile ground surface indicators, stair nosings and other fabricated metal to name a few.
- Operating core drilling equipment, rotary hammer drills, concrete saws, grinders, power tools and associated construction equipment.
- Implement and follow project SWMS, SOPs, SWPs and WHS&E requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate site personnel, including casual personnel and subcontractors, as required, including allocating tasks and monitoring the quality of work performed.
- Operate and undertake routine maintenance of tools and equipment used by installation team
About you
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction, infrastructure construction or a closely related construction trade environment.
- Practical experience in core drilling, especially use of 250-450mm core drill sizes and concrete drilling.
- Practical experience in concrete cutting, grinding and preparation.
- Practical experience in concrete formwork and concrete reinstatement.
- Practical experience in chemical and mechanical anchoring.
- Practical experience in civil construction set-out.
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant construction or civil construction experience.
- A current Construction Industry White Card.
- A current Australian driver's licence.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
