Located within the grounds of Box Hill North Primary School, our sessional kindergarten offers a seamless learning journey from three-year-old kindergarten through to year six. We deliver two funded three-year-old programs and two funded four-year-old programs, which both are aligned with Victoria’s Free Kindergarten initiative. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated candidate to join our team in the position of **Four-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher** in our sessional kindergarten. This role is a maternity leave position, with a start date as soon as possible. This position offers the chance to lead a high-quality, play-based learning program. You will be working with one of our 4-year-old kindergarten groups across 3 teaching days per week — Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays — with allocated planning time on Wednesdays. The position is 29 hours per week, inclusive of teaching and planning time, and is paid in accordance with the VECTEA 2020 Agreement. We are seeking a teacher who has experience working with children aged 3–5 years in a sessional setting, and can confidently plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, engaging and inclusive kindergarten program. **Key Responsibilities** * Deliver a stimulating, inclusive, and play-based learning program * Work collaboratively with co-educator with clear communication and organisation * Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families * Support children’s development, wellbeing, and learning outcomes * Maintain a safe and nurturing environment which represents child's voice
* Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification) * Current VIT registration * Strong knowledge of the VELDYF, NQS, Child Safe Standards and relevant legislation * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training * Current Mandatory Reporting and Child Safety training
