Position Overview
We're excited to welcome an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to our team!
This is a flexible leadership opportunity, available on either a part-time or full-time basis for the right candidate. Working closely with our Lead Veterinarian, you'll play a key role in leading the team, supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture.
Ideally, you're a qualified Veterinary Nurse who enjoys remaining hands-on in the clinic while leading and mentoring the team. This role offers the opportunity to combine clinical nursing responsibilities with practice leadership, making it perfect for someone looking to take the next step in their career without stepping away from patient care.
Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Lead Veterinarian to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

Lead, mentor and support the nursing and reception teams, fostering professional growth and engagement.

Provide hands-on veterinary nursing support alongside your leadership responsibilities.

Inspire and motivate the team while promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.

Support the operational and commercial management of the clinic, including financial performance, workflow optimisation and business initiatives.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain a safe, organised and welcoming clinic environment.

Manage client enquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.

Partner with the veterinary team to continually improve patient care, client experience and clinic standards.
About You
To thrive in this role, you will bring:

A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and previous experience working as a Veterinary Nurse.

Previous leadership experience, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role with the support of an experienced team.

A passion for remaining hands-on clinically while leading and developing others.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy practice.

Confidence, resilience and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, team-first approach.

An interest in contributing to the operational and commercial success of the clinic.
