We are seeking an experienced Master 24 to join our Marine Operations team. As our Skipper, you will lead luxury fishing charters, snorkelling tours and other watersports activities, while supporting the Marine Manager with the day-to-day operation of our high-end marine experiences. You will be responsible for the safe operation and presentation of our vessels, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maintaining full compliance with AMSA, WHS and IHG standards.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Skipper commercial vessels ranging from 4–24 metres, including fishing and snorkelling charters.

Deliver safe, professional and memorable guest experiences in a luxury 5-star environment.

Ensure vessels, safety equipment and marine equipment are safe, clean and operational.

Conduct daily pre-start checks and maintain accurate vessel logbooks and records.

Monitor weather and sea conditions and make sound operational decisions.

Ensure all activities comply with AMSA requirements, permits, legislation, SOPs and WHS procedures.

Support the Marine Manager with vessel maintenance, servicing and repairs.

Liaise with Engineering and external contractors as required.

Monitor and maintain fishing, watersports and vessel equipment, reporting defects immediately.

Lead by example in safety, professionalism, teamwork and guest service.

Support the Marine Manager and wider resort team with other operational duties as required.
Base rate $40.78 + penalties + loading

To be successful in this part-time role, you will have:
Current and valid Master <24m Near Coastal - AMSA.
Current and valid MED II or higher Certificate of Competency.
HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid, including current CPR.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (current)
Strong knowledge of maritime procedures, nautical terminology and vessel operations.
Sound understanding of AMSA regulations and Queensland WHS requirements.
Excellent communication, problem-solving and guest service skills.
High level of personal presentation suitable for a luxury 5-star resort.
Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a marine operations team.
Previous marine industry experience, ideally at least one year in a similar role.
Full Australian Driver’s Licence – desirable, but not essential.
Strong commitment to safety, compliance and exceptional guest experiences.
