- Salary Range $109,081-$114,979 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
- 4% base salary increase as of July 2026

About the Role
The City Buildings Project Lead supports the planning and delivery of the City’s Capital Works Program across a range of building and infrastructure assets, including community buildings, sporting infrastructure, floodlighting, aquatic facilities and marine structures.
The role manages projects from planning through to delivery, providing technical and project management support to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard. It also oversees contractors and consultants, manages approvals and compliance, and supports effective risk management.
What we’re Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience delivering building and/or infrastructure projects across the full project lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of project management, procurement, contract management and risk management practices
- Sound understanding of the Building Code of Australia (BCA/NCC), relevant Australian Standards and statutory approval processes
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams, including holding delivery partners accountable for outcomes
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
- Experience delivering infrastructure projects such as buildings, sporting facilities, floodlighting, aquatic or similar assets
- Experience in, or sound knowledge of, local government operations and regulatory frameworks is desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar, or a relevant trade qualification with demonstrated project delivery experience, is desirable
- Current WA Driver’s Licence and White Card
