About the job
ROSEN Australia is currently seeking a Field Service Technician based in Perth to join our experienced operations team. This position plays a critical role in preparing, executing, and completing inline inspection (ILI) surveys across various client sites.
You’ll be responsible for testing, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and inspection tools. The role involves onsite technical operations, data collection, safety assessments, and post-run validations – all performed under strict compliance with ROSEN’s HSE and Quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare inspection tools and ensure timely shipping of equipment to/from sites in coordination with Supply Chain Management
- Perform onsite HSE risk assessments and adhere to safety protocols
- Check and verify tool specifications match operating conditions before launching
- Conduct tool initialization, launching, tracking, and retrieval
- Download and back-up survey data; perform onsite quality and completeness checks
- Assess tool condition post-run, report any damage, and request spare parts as needed
- Prepare for tool demobilisation and report on tool and equipment condition after job completion
- Document daily site activities, tool performance, and operational progress
- Maintain close communication with other functions such as Tool Customisation and Operations Support
About you
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on professional who thrives in field-based work and values safety and precision. To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 6 to 12 months' experience as a Field Service Technician in a similar technical environment
- Ability to perform basic maintenance on ILI tools, including replacing parts such as polyurethane cups (PU), batteries, sensors, cardan joints, odometers, brushes, and magnets
- Competence in conducting electronic component checks and data quality validation onsite
- Strong problem-solving and technical diagnostic skills
- Understanding of client-specific operational and communication procedures
- Collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally across technical and logistics teams
- Ability to travel to our client sites as required
