About the Role
You will be working as a Grade 2 Nuclear Medicine Technologist at SVHM, across general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT, as required. We are committed to providing training and education and offer regular continuing professional development for staff.
Under the direction of the senior Nuclear Medicine Technologists, you will provide quality general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT examinations in a safe environment.
Excellent technical and clinical skills in the full range of general Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures
Experience in the preparation, handling and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
Ability to interact with patients and other staff.
Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT
Classifications for this position will range from CJ7 – CT7
Your Contribution
Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent.
Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Radiation use licence issued by the Victorian Department of Health.
Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM).
Current National criminal history check or willingness to obtain.

The Nuclear Medicine and PET departments at St Vincents Hospital Melbourne offer a full range of both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and are equipped with state of the art SPECT/CT cameras, and a PET/CT scanner.
