FULL TIME DAIRY CATTLE FARM WORKER

About the Role:
As a Dairy Cattle Farm Worker, you will report to the Farm Manager and work as part of our dedicated farming team. We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to join our operations on a permanent full-time basis. This hands-on role requires a motivated worker with practical experience in dairy cattle farming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out milking operations, Operate milking plant and equipment
- Assisting with feeding, checking livestock, monitoring water points and general animal welfare.
- Monitor the health, behaviour, and condition of dairy cattle, identifying signs of illness or distress and administering basic treatments or liaising with veterinary professionals as required.
- Maintain accurate records of milk production, animal health treatments, feeding schedules, and other relevant farm data.
- Supporting pasture improvement works, including seeding, fertilising, weed control and paddock preparation
- Assisting with maintenance and repair of water infrastructure.
- Assist with the management of calves and heifers, including feeding, health monitoring, and weaning processes.
- Ensure farm facilities, yards, and sheds are kept clean, organised, and maintained to a high standard of hygiene and safety.
- Assist with the coordination of cattle movements, musters, and stock management activities as directed.
- Always following workplace health and safety procedures and animal welfare standards
Qualification and Experience:
- Minimum One years of full-time experience or equivalent part time in a dairy cattle farming or similar role.
- An AQF relevant certificate II or III qualification (or equivalent)
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year (plus Superannuation)
