About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Rates Officer to join our Rates and Revenue team.
Reporting to the Service Lead Rates and Revenue, you will play a key role in maintaining property ownership and service address records, responding to ratepayer enquiries, processing rate searches and supporting the administration of the City's rates and revenue functions.
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including ratepayers, settlement agencies and financial institutions, you will provide a high level of customer service while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial and property data.
About you
We’re seeking an organised and detail-oriented professional with experience working in a financial or revenue environment.
You will have excellent customer service skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Besides demonstrated experience, you’ll need to have:
- Experience working with Technology One Property & Rating
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

Salary and Benefits: Salary range from Level 3-4 Step 1 – Step 4 ($79,984.88 - $93,975.39) of the City of Cockburn Industrial Agreement 2025, based on qualifications and experience.
