The Position
Due to the continued growth of our business, we have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team in this newly created, permanent, full-time role.

The Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial information. Working with the stakeholders across the business, you will provide timely and reliable financial information to support decision making. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and posting month-end journals and assisting with the month-end close process.

Completing monthly general ledger reconciliations.

Maintaining daily cash reporting, bank reconciliations, and payment processing.

Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Maintaining fixed asset and lease registers.
-
Preparing monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS), including GST, PAYG, Fuel Tax Credits.

Assisting with statutory reporting, audits, and compliance requirements.

Supporting operational finance processes and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Your Experience
We are seeking the following skills and experience:

CA or CPA qualification.

At least 3 years' experience in an accounting or finance role.

Strong technical accounting knowledge, including month-end processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Sound knowledge of AASB 16 lease accounting.

A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.

Experience with MYOB Acumatica will be highly regarded.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Exceptional numeracy skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with your team and remote teams.

A current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain one (less than 12 months old).

Must hold full Australian working rights.
