St Hilda's School is seeking an experienced and inspiring educational leader to take on the role of Head of Faculty – Technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled pedagogical and curriculum leader to shape the vision and direction of a dynamic faculty encompassing Engineering, Design Technology, Hospitality, and Creative and Digital Technology.

About the Position
As Head of Faculty, you will lead a team of dedicated teachers to ensure students within the Technologies Faculty are academically challenged and supported in a safe, encouraging learning environment. Reporting to the Head of Teaching and Learning, and as a member of the Middle Leadership Team, you will drive pedagogical excellence, oversee curriculum development and compliance, mentor and support staff, and provide strategic and administrative leadership for the faculty.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Modelling excellence in teaching and learning, mentoring early career teachers, and fostering a culture of continuous, evidence-based improvement
Overseeing the development of band plans, unit plans, and assessment tasks in line with national, state, and local requirements
Supporting the professional growth of faculty staff through feedback, appraisal, and goal-setting, and acting as a point of escalation for student and parent concerns

Administrative Leadership
Developing and delivering an Annual Strategic Plan for the faculty, ensuring QCAA compliance, and maintaining accurate faculty documentation and equipment registers
As a member of the Middle and Senior School teaching staff, you will also teach an adjusted class load and contribute to the broader life of the school, including student wellbeing initiatives, parent-teacher interviews, and school events.
