Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC or Coverage) leads client origination and relationship management for CBA’s Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) division. Our purpose is to help clients achieve their strategic objectives through differentiated insight, trusted advice and seamless delivery across the financing and risk management spectrum.
Within Coverage, the Diversified Industries team supports critical sectors powering the real economy. This role sits within DI, with a specific alignment to the Food, Beverage & Agriculture (FB&A) team, which services a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from listed Australian corporates through to large global multinational organisations.
The FB&A sector is a key strategic focus for the Bank, offering exposure to dynamic supply chains, global trade flows and evolving consumer trends.
Do work that matters:
You will support senior Coverage bankers within the FB&A team to engage with C-suite executives and Treasurers, delivering best-in-class client outcomes across the full transaction lifecycle – from origination through structuring, credit approval and documentation, to ongoing portfolio management.
Key elements of the role include:
- Provide support to Bankers in covering and servicing the needs of FB&A clients, including complex transactions and day-to-day relationship management.
- Work as part of a Deal Team across the lifecycle of transactions, supporting origination, structuring, execution and ongoing management.
- Deliver quantitative and qualitative analysis for credit submissions and reviews.
- Partner with product teams and risk stakeholders to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Develop insights into industry trends across the Food, Beverage & Agriculture sectors, assessing implications for client opportunities and risks.
- Support KYC onboarding and ongoing compliance processes.
- Perform portfolio monitoring, reporting and data management activities.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
- Experience in institutional / corporate banking, credit risk, leveraged finance, structured finance or corporate finance.
- Industry experience in Food, Beverage & Agriculture (or adjacent sectors) is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical capability across company and industry analysis.
- Understanding of institutional banking products and how they support client needs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
