We're looking for a freelance video editor to create reels and YouTube Shorts for ShareMyVault. You turn ideas and raw material into vertical video that earns the first second and keeps people watching to the last. You're equal parts editor, storyteller, and early adopter of AI video.
What you'll do
- Cut short-form that holds. Reels and YouTube Shorts that earn the first three seconds and keep people to the end. You own the edit from raw footage to export.
- Engineer the hook. Open strong, pace tight, pay off the promise. You think in retention curves, not just clean cuts.
- Build with AI. Use AI video, voice, and image tools to generate b-roll, scenes, and motion we couldn't shoot. We give you the budget — you bring the taste.
- Shape the look. Captions, sound design, motion, and a consistent visual language that makes a privacy product feel human and worth watching.
What we're looking for
- Hooks & retention — a real, demonstrable understanding of why people keep watching, and why they swipe away. This is the skill we care about most.
- Solid editing chops — comfortable in your editor of choice (Premiere, CapCut, Resolve, After Effects — your call). Clean pacing, captions, sound, and rhythm.
- AI-native, or eager to be — you already use AI generation tools, or you're genuinely excited to learn fast. We'll fund the tools; you experiment.
- Self-driven — you manage your own time, hit deadlines without nudging, and take a loose brief somewhere better than expected.
No degree or decade of experience required. We care about taste and results.

The trial task
Skip the long résumé. The fastest way to stand out is to make something.
Make a video about ShareMyVault. That's the whole prompt. A teaser, an explainer, a tiny story, a punchy ad — whatever you think would make someone stop scrolling and care. Anything you like.
- Under 60 seconds. The one hard rule. Reel or Shorts format (vertical 9:16) preferred.
- AI is fully allowed — encouraged, even. No restrictions. Generate footage, voices, scenes, whatever serves the idea.
- Total creative freedom. Any style, tone, or angle. Surprise us — there are no wrong directions, only boring ones.
- Make the hook count. We'll be watching the first three seconds closely.
