Join Shermac as a Service Trailer Sales Representative role in Western Australia!
Rev up your career with Shermac — a global leader in mine‑spec and civil‑spec vehicle solutions. We’re expanding our Business Development team and looking for driven, growth‑minded professionals ready to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
At Shermac, you’ll work with industry‑leading products, collaborate with passionate experts, and help shape the future of specialised fleet solutions across Australia and beyond. If you’re hungry for challenge, opportunity, and real career progression, this is your chance to step into a role built for impact.
What You’ll Do:
As a Sales Representative, you will play a pivotal role in driving our growth strategy and expanding our market presence for our market-leading Service Trailer product range. You will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and building strong relationships with prospective clients, to promote our range of service trailers.
Your day-to-day will be dynamic and hands-on. You’ll be out in the field visiting our mining and civil customers across metro and regional WA, supported by a dedicated demo vehicle that showcases Shermac’s industry‑leading builds.
You’ll take ownership of the full customer cycle — from understanding operational needs to preparing tailored quotes and following them through to conversion. As you grow in the role, you’ll become a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers on load configurations, vehicle specifications, and service schedules to ensure every solution meets the highest operational standards.
This is a role for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and building strong customer relationships — with plenty of room to develop deep technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Identify and prioritise target markets and industries for service trailer sales.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Build and maintain relationships within target accounts across the mining, civil and rental sectors.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, and other business development activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development and marketing, to optimise sales and support customer requirements.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to management on progress, challenges, and opportunities through Shermac’s CRM.
What you’ll need:
- 2-3 years of success in B2B sales, with experience selling industrial equipment or similar products/services.
- Understanding of sales principles, techniques, and methodologies and previous use of a CRM will be well regarded.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills — you know how to connect with customers, articulate value, handle objections confidently, and deliver compelling demonstrations that showcase Shermac’s industry‑leading equipment.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to achieving targets.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
If you are a highly motivated and results-driven professional with a passion for sales and business development, we want to hear from you!
