An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Support coordination and facilitation of MRgFUS treatment sessions
Conduct comprehensive pre-procedure and post-procedure assessments
Coordinate administrative tasks including scheduling and bookings, coordinating admissions, and overseeing stock management
Provide patient and family support and guidance throughout the treatment journey
Deliver specialist nursing care in the holistic assessment and management of patients with movement disorders
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Neuromodulation Magnetic Resonance-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) Service is a statewide service providing advanced treatment to patients with movement disorder from across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
The MRgFUS service is a part of the broader Neurology Service, which delivers specialist neurological care to the patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
The MRgFUS service is looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse to be part of our team. The role will support patients referred for the MRgFUS service by providing high quality nursing care across inpatient and outpatient settings, contributing to research activities and ensuring smooth patient navigation through the health service. This role encompasses both clinical and research responsibilities with duties evolving in response to service priorities and research project demands.
