About the Role
Premier Financial Advocates is seeking a motivated and analytical Junior Business Analyst (Data Analytics) to join our growing team. Working under the guidance of senior management, the successful candidate will support business and financial analysis by collecting, analysing and reporting data to assist decision-making and improve business performance. The role involves analysing operational and financial data, monitoring business performance, preparing reports and dashboards, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean and analyse business, financial and operational data from multiple sources.
- Analyse application, approval, settlement and pipeline data to identify trends and performance patterns.
- Prepare reports on business performance, revenue, productivity and operational activity.
- Assist in analysing financial performance, lending trends, revenue and profitability.
- Develop dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI, Excel, Tableau or similar tools.
- Monitor KPIs and prepare regular management reports.
- Assist in analysing customer and business trends across different markets and regions.
- Use SQL, Python and Excel to extract, validate and analyse datasets.
- Work closely with management and operational teams to understand business requirements and provide analytical support.
- Present findings through reports, dashboards and presentations.
- Assist with identifying process inefficiencies and opportunities for business improvement.
- Support data quality, reporting accuracy and continuous improvement initiatives.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Finance or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytical tools.
- Ability to analyse and interpret business and financial data.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to financial services, banking, financial analysis or business analytics.
- Understanding of financial and business performance metrics.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, forecasting or predictive analytics.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or cloud-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with data visualisation, reporting and business intelligence practices.
