K&P Sidhu Investments Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Accountant to join its business operations in Coffs Harbour.
This is a full-time position for an accounting professional who can manage the company’s accounting systems, maintain accurate financial records and provide reliable financial information to the directors to support business planning and decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the company’s accounting systems, general ledger and financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, cash-flow reports and variance analyses.
- Review income, expenditure and operating costs, identifying discrepancies, trends and areas requiring management attention.
- Assist with budgets, cash-flow forecasts and financial planning.
- Manage and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll records and bank reconciliations.
- Complete month-end accounting processes and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Maintain internal accounting procedures and financial controls, including payment authorisations and record-keeping processes.
- Liaise with the external accountant and tax agent by preparing reconciliations, financial schedules and supporting documentation for taxation and statutory reporting.
Skills and experience
- Relevant degree in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Minimum two years of relevant accounting experience.
- Sound knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial reporting and cash-flow management.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with directors, external accountants and other stakeholders.
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
This is a Full Time role.
Salary: $75,000/$85,000 plus superannuation.
