Little Miss Violet Café is looking for an experienced and passionate Full-Time Cook/Chef to join our busy brunch café.
About the Role
You will be responsible for preparing high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes while maintaining excellent food quality, consistency, and kitchen standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook café breakfast and lunch menu items
- Maintain high standards of food presentation and quality
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage stock rotation and minimise food waste
- Keep the kitchen clean and organised
- Work efficiently during busy service periods
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a café or restaurant kitchen
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable, punctual and a positive team player
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be available to work every weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Weekend availability is essential for this role.
- Full Australian working rights
Preferred
- Experience in a busy brunch café
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
- Experience with Korean-inspired cuisine is an advantage but not essential
