NOW HIRING – Female NDIS Support Workers (North Brisbane Region)
Superior Home Health Services is seeking 2 compassionate, reliable, and experienced female NDIS Support Workers to join our team in the Brisbane North region.
These roles will primarily be working in a family home supporting 2 participants with various requirements. One participant (M,18) has an intellectual disability and complex/challenging behaviours, and requires a confident and patient support worker who can provide personal care and community access support in a safe, respectful, and person-centred manner - approximately 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4pm - 6pm except 2.30-6pm on Thursday. The other participant is mature (F) who requires assistance with routine household chores; meal prep, tidying, grocery shopping and weekly social. Monday to Friday, 2pm - 4pm plus alternating Monday and Wednesday morning and every Thursday morning; approximately 16 hours.
There is an opportunity to pick up additional work outside this family unit.
Position details
- Casual position initially, with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time
- Weekday shifts, with some weekend availability required
- Ongoing support and guidance from an experienced local team
Essential requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability Support, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience working within the NDIS sector, including experience supporting people with challenging behaviours
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Blue Card
- Current driver’s licence and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to client-centred care
Key responsibilities
- Provide assistance with personal care, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Support the participant to access the community, attend appointments, and participate in social activities
- Maintain a calm and supportive approach when responding to behaviours of concern
- Assist with light domestic tasks and daily living activities
- Observe and report any changes in the participant’s wellbeing or support needs
- Promote dignity, independence, choice, and safety at all times
