Mary Eats Cake is one of Melbourne's most loved High Tea destinations, known for creating beautiful experiences, handcrafted food, vintage styling and unforgettable celebrations. We're looking for a creative and organised content creator to help bring our brand to life across our social media channels.
About the Role
We're seeking a passionate Social Media Content Creator to spend one day per fortnight at our Montrose venue capturing content and managing our social media presence.
This is a hands-on creative role where you'll be responsible for producing engaging content that showcases our venue, food, events and customer experiences. You'll work independently while collaborating with our marketing Manager to ensure content aligns with our brand and marketing goals.
Responsibilities
- Capture high-quality photography and videography of our venue, food, drinks, workshops and events.
- Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram ans TikTok
- Film and produce Instagram and Facebook Stories, Reels and other short-form content.
- Schedule social media content
- Assist with community management by responding to comments and messages where appropriate.
- Monitor engagement and manage automated replies.
- Identify content opportunities and proactively suggest creative ideas and trends that suit the Mary Eats Cake brand.
- Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice across all content.
About You
You'll be someone who:
- Has experience creating engaging content for social media.
- Has excellent photography and videography skills
- Is confident editing photos and short-form videos using apps such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express or similar.
- Has a strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook best practices.
- Has a creative eye for styling, composition and storytelling.
- Is highly organised and able to work independently.
- Takes initiative and enjoys bringing fresh ideas to the table.
- Has excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- Understands how to maintain a consistent luxury hospitality brand voice.
Flexibility
As much of our best content comes from celebrations and functions, the successful applicant must be available for the occasional Saturday or Sunday shift to capture event content (with plenty of notice).
