Rapidly growing manufacturing business seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant to join our team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and can confidently manage day-to-day financial operations within a busy manufacturing environment. You will work closely with management and play an important role in supporting the financial performance and ongoing growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Preparing and processing invoices, payments and receipts
- Performing bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
- Maintaining and monitoring the general ledger and financial records
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
- Conducting financial analysis and preparing reports for management
- Preparation of monthly journals and management accounts
- Cash flow forecasting and budgeting support
- Assisting with manufacturing costing, inventory analysis and margin reporting
- Monitoring production-related costs and supporting stock control processes
- Payroll processing and related administration
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Assisting with taxation obligations and lodgements
- Managing workflow priorities and meeting deadlines
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
- Approximately 8+ years accounting experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative
- Experience within manufacturing, industrial or inventory-based businesses highly regarded
- Exposure to manufacturing costing or inventory accounting preferred
