Your next career opportunity
You will play a key role in developing dental and oral health therapy students’ clinical competence and professional judgement.
You will supervise preclinical and clinical activities at the Melbourne Dental School , guiding safe, high-quality care for diverse patients.
You will also build your own teaching skills within a collaborative, values -driven dental school community.
Prepare for preclinical and clinical teaching sessions, reviewing materials, patient records and logistics to support evidence based learning.
Supervise, guide and educate students during preclinical and clinical sessions, focusing on skills acquisition and knowledge application.
Review and approve patient dental records and clinic documentation , ensuring accurate , compliant clinical records for every session.
Facilitate student feedback discussions and complete required assessment, marking, questionnaires and sessional administrative documentation.
Participate in meetings, training and compliance activities to maintain credentialing, child safety and high-quality teaching standards.
You may be a great fit if you :
Hold a primary dental qualification, eligible for registration with the Dental Board of Australia.
Bring at least two years’ clinical experience (varies between programs) , with strong, contemporary evidence-based dental practice skills.
Maintain current Ahpra registration with no conditions, and clinic credentialing appropriate to clinical teaching on the MDS teaching clinics.
Demonstrate strong motivation to develop excellence in dental education, assessment and student feedback.
Work effectively both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively to diverse students, patients and academic colleagues.
Exhibit well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, supporting students’ learning in complex preclinical and clinical environments.
