About the Department
The Emergency Department at Maroondah Hospital care for approximately 50,000 patients per year. Presentations include critically unwell patients requiring immediate stabilisation plus a significant proportion of paediatric presentations. Department resources included 35 treatment spaces, including 3 resuscitation bays, dedicated paediatric and fast track areas, and a combined paediatric/adult Short Stay Unit.
About the role
The Emergency Department at Maroondah Hospital has an opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our team on a permanent, full time or part time basis.
In joining the Maroondah Hospital Emergency team, you will be working alongside a highly dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team who are committed to Patient's First. About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
A strong commitment to high quality patient care and experience
The ability to work as part of a diverse team
A personal commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum 12 months experience in acute nursing
The following will be highly regarded;
Previous Emergency Nursing experience
Post Graduate qualification in Emergency or Critical Care Nursing
Advanced clinical skills in Adult Emergency/Critical Care Nursing
Advanced clinical skills in Paediatric Emergency and/or Paediatric Nursing
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
