Pacific Home Care Solutions (PHCS) is seeking a Greek-speaking Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing community-based and in-home support to a participant located in the Oakleigh, Victoria area.
This position offers approximately 20 hours per week of ongoing support and would suit a reliable, compassionate and engaging support worker looking to build a consistent working relationship with a participant.
About the Role
- The participant requires support primarily with:
- Community access and social participation
- Attending activities and accessing the local community
- Building independence and confidence
- Decluttering and organisation within the home
- Encouragement, prompting and practical assistance with everyday activities
- No personal care is required for this role.
- The participant has intellectual disability and mental health-related support needs. The successful worker should be patient, respectful and confident in providing person-centred support while encouraging choice and independence.
Hours and Availability
- Approximately 20 hours per week are available, consisting of approximately:
- 15 hours across weekdays
- 5 hours on the weekend
- Availability is being sought across Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
- Exact days and shift times can be discussed based on participant requirements and suitable worker availability.
Essential Requirement
- Fluent or confident spoken Greek is essential for this position, as the participant requires a Greek-speaking support worker.

What We’re Looking For
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Experience in disability, mental health or community services
- Ability to communicate confidently in Greek
- A person-centred and respectful approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to ongoing shifts
- Ability to encourage independence rather than completing tasks for the participant
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Relevant qualifications and/or disability support experience will be highly regarded
Employment and Pay
- This is an employment opportunity with Pacific Home Care Solutions.
- Employment conditions and remuneration will be provided in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award, with the applicable classification and rates determined based on the employee's experience, qualifications and shift arrangements.
A meet and greet will be arranged with the participant and relevant parties before ongoing supports commence to ensure the worker and participant are a suitable match.
