Experienced Hire Car Fleet Manager Wanted – Gold Coast
We are seeking an experienced Hire Car Fleet Manager to take a hands-on role in the day-to-day operation of a growing car rental business on the Gold Coast.
This position is suited to someone who has previously worked in the car hire or vehicle rental industry and understands how a rental business operates from the ground up.
We're looking for someone who can bring their existing industry knowledge and practical experience to the business, help improve day-to-day operations, and contribute ideas that can enhance the way the rental fleet is managed.
This is not simply an office-based administration position. The successful candidate will be involved in fleet management, administration, customer coordination, vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs, and general rental operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the hire car fleet
- Coordinate vehicle bookings, availability and movements
- Arrange and complete customer vehicle pick-ups and drop-offs across the Gold Coast
- Manage vehicle collections and returns
- Monitor the condition, cleanliness and presentation of rental vehicles
- Coordinate servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Maintain accurate fleet and rental records
- Handle customer enquiries and assist with rental-related issues
- Complete general rental administration and paperwork
- Coordinate vehicle movements between locations when required
- Monitor fleet utilisation and availability
- Help identify ways to improve rental processes and operational efficiency
- Work closely with management to develop and enhance the rental business
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in the car hire or vehicle rental industry is highly important.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous hands-on experience working in a car rental or hire-car business
- Strong understanding of rental fleet operations
- Knowledge of vehicle booking, collection and return procedures
- Experience with fleet administration and vehicle coordination
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong customer service and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and make practical decisions
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and presentation
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Professional, reliable and hands-on approach
