National Parks and Wildlife Service is offering a unique opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to be part of a team that protects and preserves some of our most valuable natural and cultural assets. This is more than just an office role, you’ll be contributing behind the scenes to work that supports the conservation of the environment, native wildlife and Aboriginal heritage.
From the moment you step into the role, you’ll be the kind of person everyone relies on. You’ll keep the office humming by managing day-to-day administrative tasks, from coordinating purchases and maintaining supplies to keeping records accurate and systems up to date. Your attention to detail will ensure everything is in the right place at the right time and your ability to stay one step ahead will make a real difference to how effectively the team operates.
You’ll also play a key role in bringing people together. Whether it’s coordinating meetings, organising travel and logistics or preparing agendas and taking minutes, you’ll make sure every detail is covered so others can focus on delivering important work. When people call or walk through the door, you’ll be a friendly, knowledgeable first point of contact, providing helpful information and creating a positive experience for visitors and stakeholders alike.
About You

You’re just as comfortable processing financial transactions and ensuring everything is compliant as you are stepping in to coordinate logistics when it matters most, including supporting critical activities like fire or search and rescue responses. Essential requirements
- Experience in administration including the use of computer based systems such as word processing, spreadsheet and records management and records management systems.
- Knowledge of financial and human resource management procedures, policies and practices.
