About the role, You will work alongside participants with varying support needs across: Supported Independent Living (SIL), Community Participation, In-home Supports(including cleaning), Respite, High Intensity Supports (where suitably trained), Psychosocial Disability, Autism, Intellectual Disability, ABI and Complex Behaviours. Every day is different and every participant has individual strengths and goals. You will be supported by experienced Support Coordinators, Team Leaders, Registered Nurses and Allied Health Professionals to deliver truly person-centred supports.
Your Responsibilities:
You will assist participants with:
Personal care, Manual handling, Medication assistance (where trained), Meal preparation, Domestic assistance, Community participation, Social and recreational activities, Transport to appointments, Capacity building, Skill development, Behaviour support strategies, Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP), Accurate progress notes and documentation, Incident reporting, working collaboratively with families, guardians and multi-disciplinary teams, promoting participant choice with dignity and independence.

Essential Requirements:
Current: NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children), First Aid & CPR certificate, Australian Driver Licence, Reliable insured vehicle, Smartphone, NDIS Worker Orientation Module, Right to work in Australia and at least 2 years experience.
Highly Desirable:
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or Community Services, Nursing registration, at least 2 years experience supporting participants with Mental Health, Autism, Intellectual Disability, Complex Behaviours, High Intensity Supports, SIL environments, Community Access, Medication Assistance, Manual Handling, Hoist Transfers, PEG Feeding, Epilepsy Management, Diabetes Support and physical disability.
