Where you'll be working
This role is based within maternity services at Auburn Hospital.
Works within a multidisciplinary maternity care team
Reports to Nurse Managers and Midwifery leadership
Collaborates with educators, consultants and clinical teams
Provides care across the maternity care continuum
Engages with patients, families and carers
What you'll be doing
You will provide safe, woman-centred midwifery care within a clinical team.
Deliver clinical midwifery care aligned to best practice
Assess, plan and evaluate care for women and families
Support discharge planning and referrals
Provide mentoring and supervision to staff and students
Advocate for patients and support family-centred care

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Current midwifery registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Selection Criteria:
1. Demonstrated experience and clinical skills in midwifery skills which could include midwifery course training
2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
3. Demonstrated commitment to woman focused care
4. Demonstrated effective communication skills, both written and verbal
5. Demonstrated commitment to professional development
