About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager of Community Health, this pivotal role will be ensuring that VU continues to deliver high quality training in our VET Community Health area. This will help enable VU to achieve the objectives of its Strategic Plan, 2022-2028 : Start well, finish brilliantly .
Position Key Duties:
This role will form an integral part of the Community Health team and the duties include:
- Facilitate learning by establishing educational and assessment strategies to suit a range of student, client needs and industry contexts. This includes delivery F2F, and on-line, blended and in diverse settings including within enterprises and the community.
- Work in and with current and prospective industry partners and enterprises.
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment and undertake assessment of student performance in accordance with the requirements of the relevant curriculum/training package in a competency-based framework including within the workplace.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment in accordance with the National VET Regulator including the requirements of moderation and validation of assessment.
Position Details
- Classification: TAFE Sessional
- Salary: $98.34 per hour for teaching hours and $63.29 per hour for non-teaching hours
- Employment Type: Continuing
- Hours per Week: Approximately 16 hours per week

About You:

- Holds or is willing to complete a Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B)
- At least 2 years with Industry Experience in Health Administration, Allied Health, Patient Services Assistance or Clinical Coding/Classification.
- Qualifications relevant to your industry experience.
- Passion in sharing your knowledge with the next generation of healthcare workers.
- Willingness to continually learn and develop as a TAFE Teacher.
- Hold a current Employee Working with Children Check.
