What’s the role?
As a Company Secretary, Corporate Governance you will support the Head of Corporate Governance & Policy by providing corporate governance guidance to Business Partners, and in delivering key corporate governance deliverables, strategic matters, and special projects relevant to our stakeholders (including the Westpac Board).
Key responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of Westpac’s Corporate Governance Statement, including stakeholder engagement
- Coordinate Secretariat’s contributions to half-year and full-year financial reporting
- Assist with Director disclosure statements and onboarding processes
- Support delivery of Westpac's Annual General Meeting
- Complete ASX announcements and regulatory filings
- Provide guidance on APRA prudential standard CPS 510: Governance
- Develop and maintain compliant internal policies and procedures
Offer governance advice and support Group Secretariat projects as required

What do I need?
- 5 plus years’ Experience working in company secretariat/governance or corporate legal fields, ideally with ASX-listed companies
- An understanding of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and ASX Corporate Governance Principles and Recommendations
- Demonstrated capability to manage projects on an end-to-end basis
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills both written and verbal
A diligent approach to completing tasks, and strong attention to detail
