As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee multiple commercial joinery projects from award through to completion.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering commercial joinery projects while maintaining strong relationships with builders, consultants, suppliers and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial joinery projects from handover through to final completion.
- Coordinate procurement, manufacturing, deliveries and site installations.
- Develop and maintain project programmes and monitor milestones.
- Liaise with builders, architects, consultants, subcontractors and clients.
- Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Manage project budgets, variations, claims and cost control.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Identify and resolve project risks and site issues proactively.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate factory production schedules with the manufacturing team.
- Oversee defect rectification and project close-out.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing commercial joinery projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction and joinery manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and joinery shop drawings.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Current Australian Driver Licence.
- White Card.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Word).
- Experience using project management software such as Procore, Aconex, Monday.com or similar is highly regarded.
Desirable
- Trade qualification in Cabinet Making or Carpentry, or a qualification in Construction Management.
- Experience delivering projects for Tier 1, Tier 2 and commercial builders.
- Knowledge of OH&S legislation and quality assurance processes.
