This role is an IN-HOUSE position that involves preparing accurate quotes and tenders for both structural steel and metal work projects. The successful candidate will work closely with management, clients, suppliers and workshop teams to ensure competitive and profitable project pricing
Key responsibilities include
- Reading, interpreting and reviewing drawings, specifications, tender and contract documents
- Preparing take offs, quotations and detailed cost estimates
- Obtaining supplier and subcontractor pricing and availability
- Liaise with clients, builders, engineers and subcontractors regarding pricing, project requirements and scheduling
- Monitoring timelines, budgets and resources
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Provide program, progress and handover reports to management
Must have
- Estimating experience with metalworks within commercial and residential industry
- Estimating experience with structural steel within construction industry is highly regarded
- Strong understanding of fabrication and installation process
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team
Pay: $65,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
