Commercial Surface Solutions is seeking an experienced Protective Coatings Painter to join our growing team.
This is a full-time position working on a variety of commercial projects involving liquid waterproofing membranes, protective coatings and remedial surface treatments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reading project plans and specifications to determine surface preparation and coating requirements.
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, grinding, repairing cracks and applying primers.
- Preparing and mixing coating materials in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
- Applying liquid waterproofing membranes, protective coatings and sealants using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
- Ensuring coatings are applied to a high standard and in accordance with project specifications.
- Repairing and recoating existing waterproofing and protective coating systems where required.
- Protecting surrounding surfaces and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Working with supervisors and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
- Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
At least 1 year experience in a similar role
- Sound knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating application methods.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
