We are looking for a skilled freight allocator who is motivated and reliable to join our friendly team located in Campbellfield Victoria.
This is a permanent role.
Position Purpose
The Freight Allocator is responsible for the day-to-day planning, scheduling and allocation of freight movements to ensure customer deliveries are completed safely, efficiently and profitably. The role coordinates freight across multiple vehicles, subcontractors and warehouse operations while maintaining exceptional customer service and compliance with all legislative and Company requirements.
The Freight Allocator is a key operational role, acting as the communication link between customers, drivers, warehouse personnel and management to ensure freight is collected, transported and delivered on time.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in transport, freight allocation or logistics operations.
- Sound understanding of freight scheduling and transport operations.
- Experience using Transvirtual
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- High-level communication and customer service skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Must be reliable and hard working with a good sense of humour!
- Must be able to work within a team.
