About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Cyber Security Engineer to help safeguard ARB's global technology environment and protect critical business systems from evolving cyber threats. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity technologies, identifying and mitigating risks, responding to security incidents, and driving security awareness across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on security professional who enjoys balancing operational security, continuous improvement, and strategic cyber resilience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Security Operations: Maintain, monitor, and optimise cybersecurity systems and controls across ARB's global infrastructure.
- Risk Management & Threat Prevention: Proactively identify, assess, and reduce cyber security risks, vulnerabilities, and potential threats.
- Incident Response: Investigate, manage, and coordinate responses to security incidents, alerts, and remediation activities.
- Security Awareness & Governance: Develop and communicate security best practices through policies, training, and awareness initiatives across the business.
- Technology Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements to strengthen ARB's security posture.
- Infrastructure Collaboration: Support infrastructure projects and provide Level 3 technical support and security expertise as required.
About You:
- 2-5 years' demonstrated experience in cyber security, including security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, and security technologies across Microsoft and cloud environments.
- Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting cyber security controls across Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID, endpoint management, networking, and cloud environments.
- Experience investigating security incidents, vulnerabilities, and security alerts, including coordinating remediation activities.
- Strong understanding of cyber security technologies including SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, email security, identity and access management, and data loss prevention solutions.
- Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, Essential Eight, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls would be highly regarded.
